These are administrative professional job titles from a small portion of The Effective Admin ezine subscribers.


Administrative Professional Job Titles - Survey Respondents

Who is on this list: Any title directly associated with duties of administrative support professionals or administrative supervision, actively employed.

Who is not on this list: Consultants, educational trainers, speakers, related jobs that aren't directly administrative support, directors/managers (who aren't clearly administrative managers, admin supervisors or lead admins), unemployed administrative professionals, students and retired administrative professionals. These individuals omitted are not on this particular survey response list because its goal is to specifically identify and list current job titles of actively employed administrative professionals, administrative supervisors and office managers. However those omitted are welcome to subscribe to The Effective Admin and may benefit from reading the ezine.

Also note: Some respondents wrote "admin" and others wrote "administrative". Unless it was clear to me that it was an abbreviation (as in had a period after it like "admin.") I did not change it. Also, some titles include Roman Numerals such as I, II, III and IV while other titles use 1, 2, 3 and 4. Some say Sr. and others write Senior. Again, I left these as given to me because this may be how their company officially writes the title. Plus some admins have the general title of administrative assistant while others have specific titles such as administrative assistant to some specific title/position. Again, I left these as is.

 

The number to the right of the administrative professional job title is the number of respondents with that title.

 

Titles with 10 or more respondents are highlighted (for no particular reason other than to point out the most common titles in use). Of course, an administrative professional title at one company may mean a totally different set of job duties or administrative stature at another company. This list just gives you a general ideas of administrative professional titles in use today (as of September 2007).
